The Firm

The Firm was founded by Massimo Cugnasco in 1972, in the historic premises of Piazza Galimberti in Cuneo. In 2004 the head office was moved to newer and more modern premises at a few steps from the former location.

Down the years, another 6 accountants and a labour advisor joined us.

In addition to its Professionals, the Firm has a cohesive team of trainees and other staff dedicated to accounting, financial reporting, tax return drafting, payslip processing, and administrative and secretarial functions.

Our customers mainly include small and medium sized enterprises, investees of multinational groups, banking foundations, former municipal companies, professionals and private individuals.

The Firm also offers volunteer work – in the form of free-of-charge accounting, tax-management and legal-advisory services – to non-lucrative foundations and associations.

We provide all typical accounting, financial advisory and labour advisory services (e.g. tax consultancy and support, business consultancy, financial reporting, bookkeeping, personnel management and payslip processing, assistance in corporate crisis management and corporate turnarounds, statutory auditing and control, etc.). Over time, the Firm’s professionals have become highly experienced and specialised in non-recurring transactions, company assessments and tax litigations.

The Firm has leading edge IT equipment and systems and uses regularly upgraded software products. In particular an “Online Office” system is available for the electronic management of the Firm’s document base to be shared with Customers for easy online consultation and download and for the Firm to acquire all Customer provided data – whose integrity and confidentiality is ensured by a secure access control system.

The Firm attaches importance to its staff’s continuing in-service training and has standardised procedures in place to constantly improve its offered service quality.

In an increasingly globalised and constantly changing world, the Firm has also felt the need to develop inter-branch collaboration for the provision of a comprehensive service offering to its customer base. With that in mind, since 1991 it has become member of the association named “Eurodefi – Professional Club of Tax, Legal & Financial Advisers” together with a select group of professional advisers. In particular, this association brings together around 40 advisory firms from all over Italy and especially from the Northern part of the country. Eurodefi is in turn a member of GGI (Geneva Group International), i.e. the world’s sixth largest professional network in terms of member numbers, turnover, and aggregate headcount of participating members. The initiative will favour new development opportunities, promote strategic agreements, assist Customers wishing to relocate or develop their business abroad through local partner firms, showcase opportunities for SME acquisitions and equity investments, provide members and their end customers with useful support services and tools (e.g. relations with banking and financial institutions, special agreements with auditing firms, publications, software products and sector periodicals), and encourage the exchange of experiences and ideas.
